January 18, 2023The reality of the war in Ukraine was front and centre on day 3 of Ukraine House Davos as the tragic news of a horrifying helicopter crash which killed 15 people including Interior Minister Denys Monastyrsky, 42, alongside his first deputy minister and state secretary was confirmed. President Zelenskyy was forced to cancel his appearance to deal with the tragedy. Ukraine House Davos mourn the victims of this devastating tragedy. Rest in peace. Memory eternal.

November 28, 2022Lublin Urban Club. The City Is Me – this is the motto of the first youth urban club in Lublin, opened on Friday, November 18. For five weeks children and youth from Poland and Ukraine will be attending free workshops along with Polish and foreign experts to design an environmentally friendly city together. To join the Club, one needs only to register at the link. Participation in the Club meetings is free.

USAID and WNISEF to award 700 scholarships to study at GlobalLogic, Ciklum and SoftServe IT courses on Prometheus platform
October 28, 2022Ukraine’s largest educational platform Prometheus launches affordable IT courses in partnership with IT industry leaders GlobalLogic, Ciklum, and SoftServe. The best graduates will get invitations to the interviews and continue cooperation with the companies. 700 applicants will be able to join the educational programs for free due to scholarships. The project is supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and WNISEF.

USAID-Backed Western NIS Enterprise Fund Commits $10 million to Horizon Capital’s Latest Fund for Ukraine and Moldova
September 26, 2022Western NIS Enterprise Fund (“WNISEF”) has committed $10 million at the first closing of Horizon Capital Growth Fund IV, LP (“HCGF IV”), managed by Emerging Europe’s leading regional private equity firm, Horizon Capital. WNISEF’s commitment supported Horizon Capital in raising $125 million at the first closing, exceeding its $100 million target due to the momentum achieved based on the dedicated support of existing investors including WNISEF. With the backing of WNISEF and other first close investors, Horizon Capital has achieved a record high first closing, reaching 50% of its $250 million target, and the highest first close in the firm’s history. WNISEF’s Chairman of the Board as well as its President & Chief Executive Officer, were present at the signing ceremony held today at IFC’s London office, with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy participating virtually in the official ceremony to mark this important event.
