Western NIS Enterprise Fund Supported the Independent Anti-Corruption Advisory Committee in Moldova
February 15, 2022Western NIS Enterprise Fund (WNISEF) announced today that it has supported the Independent Anti-Corruption Advisory Committee / Comitetul Consultativ Independent Anticorupție (CCIA). The CCIA was constituted on June 7, 2021, by Presidential Decree of Moldova. Its main purposes are to analyze systemic and other issues of corruption within and across Moldovan institutions; strengthen the general and specific understanding of corruption issues; assess the implementation of anti-corruption efforts, providing recommendations on improving the effectiveness and efficiency of such activities in Moldova; and follow up with regular periodicity on its recommendations, to see what progress has been made. The CCIA is modelled after similar bodies in Afghanistan and Ukraine.

International Mayors Summit and Lady Di Atelier launch a capsule scarf collection to support kids with Down syndrome and autism
October 13, 2020The International Mayors Summit and the first Ukrainian inclusive atelier Lady Di Atelier joined efforts to launch a capsule silk scarf collection entitled “Breaking down barriers is easy. Together!” Each item’s print is a drawing made by children with Down syndrome (called “sunny kids” in Ukraine) as part of art therapy classes at the Sunny Workshop operated by Lady Di Atelier.

WNISEF and CANactions School choose the winners of the DREAMactions 3.0 Small Grants Competition
June 25, 2019From the 1st of April to the 31st of May 2019, amalgamated territorial communities from 23 regions of Ukraine submitted 182 applications to the DREAMactions 3.0 Small Grants Competition. Among those 182 applications, 65 are from the rural communities, 56 are from the settlement and 59 are from the urban communities. WNISEF and CANactions School, the organizers of the competition, chose the winners.
