The projects were presented at the Technovation Summer Camp 2018, organized by the Western NIS Enterprise Fund in partnership with Peace Corps Ukraine as part of the Technovation Ukraine project.

On May 12, 2018 the Sikorsky Challenge startup school of Kyiv Polytechnic Institute hosted Regional Pitch Event of the Technovation Challenge, an international IT education program for schoolgirls. Twenty-nine teams of girls aged 10-18 years from 37 cities of Ukraine presented their products – 29 mobile applications, aimed to change Ukraine.

“1 + 1” sets up the finale of the first Ukrainian business-social reality TV show “Million Worth Community”. At the show, 5 united territorial communities (UTC) contended for UAH 1 million grant from the Western NIS Enterprise Fund (WNISEF) by developing projects to improve life in the regions. Consequently, the Pechenizhyn UTC came out on top, having developed a raspberry shock-freezing project.
Western NIS Enterprise Fund and Oschadbank proceed with crediting social enterprises at unprecedented ratesFebruary 19, 2018
Western NIS Enterprise Fund and Oschadbank granted another social loan under the “Social Entrepreneurship” program. This time it went to the Vocational Counseling Center for the Disabled “Drukarskyi Dim” in Kramatorsk, where this loan will be used to purchase new equipment for printed materials production in order to consequently strengthen the Center’s competitive position in the regional market. This, in turn, provides opportunities for creating new jobs for the disabled. At present, “Drukarskyi Dim” employs 11 workers, 4 of them are with special needs. Re-equipment of the enterprise will ensure the employment of 6 to 12 disabled workers, as well as scaling up their wages.
