Today, 200 talented young people between the ages of 16 and 21 from all over Ukraine will embark on a new and exciting journey towards becoming the leaders of Ukraine. The 10-month program includes climbing mountain tops and studying the basics of state formation in the EU countries, running social projects for Ukrainian regions and taking multiple disciplines ranging from political science up to the English language. Participation is free of charge — each student receives a grant from the Western NIS Enterprise Fund funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

Canada Mitacs Globalink Research Internship Program Launched in UkraineSeptember 05, 2017
This year Ukraine joined the international program in course of the continued partnership with Canada under Free Trade Agreement. The Taras Shevchenko National Museum hosted the solemn opening ceremony of the Mitacs Globalink Research Internship Program. It is the first Canadian-Ukrainian program of research internships for the Ukrainian students with a great scientific potential. In Ukraine, the Globalink Research Internship Program is supported by joint efforts of the Government of Canada, the Western NIS Enterprise Fund, the Canadian non-profit organization Mitacs, and the Ukrainian Canadian Foundation of Taras Shevchenko.

24 HUB-schools from all regions of Ukraine presented the interim work results on new development strategies that were framed and launched in the academic year 2016-2017. During the first year, the schools introduced mixed learning, started to raise extra funds on a project basis, and increased the students and parents’ involvement in school management and lesson planning. These were the results of their participation in the “Pilot 24” project, which was set in motion by Western NIS Enterprise Fund and Center for Innovative Education “Pro.Svit”.
