Western NIS Enterprise Fund Sold Leading Moldovan Glass Packaging Platform to Vetropack Group
December 10, 2020Western NIS Enterprise Fund (WNISEF) announced today that it has exited, alongside other shareholders, its stake in Moldova-based Glass Container Company and Glass Container Prim (the “Glass Container Companies”, “GCC”) to Vetropack Austria Holding AG, a subsidiary of Vetropack Holding SA (SWX:VETN). Vetropack is a leading Swiss player in the European glass packaging industry, operating facilities in Switzerland, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia, Ukraine, and Italy, with CHF 714.9 million in 2019 revenues.

International Mayors Summit and Lady Di Atelier launch a capsule scarf collection to support kids with Down syndrome and autism
October 13, 2020The International Mayors Summit and the first Ukrainian inclusive atelier Lady Di Atelier joined efforts to launch a capsule silk scarf collection entitled “Breaking down barriers is easy. Together!” Each item’s print is a drawing made by children with Down syndrome (called “sunny kids” in Ukraine) as part of art therapy classes at the Sunny Workshop operated by Lady Di Atelier.

Vetropack is a leading Swiss player in the European glass packaging industry with 2019 annual turnover of CHF 714.9 million, and subsidiaries in Switzerland, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia, Ukraine and Italy.

July 22, 2020Western NIS Enterprise Fund (WNISEF) announces a call for applications for low-interest loans for social enterprises in Eastern Ukraine. The new $100,000 WNISEF project “Affordable Loans for Social Enterprises in Eastern Ukraine” is being implemented with the support of the American people via the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) within the agreement with the Western NIS Enterprise Fund under the USAID Economic Resilience Activity (ERA).
